Overview:
Now hiring a Supervisor Patient Transport.
The Patient Transport Supervisor will be responsible for the scheduling and assignment of the daily activities of the Patient Transport staff as well as work closely with the system administrator of bed-tracking software technologies. The Patient Transport Supervisor will assure the safe and efficient transportation of patients throughout the hospital and will oversee the daily assignment of discharge bed cleaning to the discharge bed cleaning team (DBST).

Ideal Candidate:
3-5 years experience in healthcare or customer service required.
1 year of supervisory experience in patient care or customer service preferred.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED

Must acquire and maintain BLS (Basic Life Safety) certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Computer skills required. This position uses computer-based technology to manage work assignments. Must also be able to use basic word processing and spreadsheet software.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven experience motivating and communicating with a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare work schedules for assigned staff and edit time clock punches as needed to approve payroll.

Ensure adequate staffing throughout shifts to facilitate patient movement and patient room turnaround, sometimes performing duties to help maintain hospital flow and department goals.

Monitor bed management system to ensure work orders are being prioritized appropriately and completed timely.

Collaborate with hospital department leaders to ensure the needs are being met appropriately. Work with other department leaders to develop innovative solutions when needed when priorities compete.

Responsible for onboarding, orienting and training all new hires for both roles.

Monitor and promote a safe work environment for staff and patients.

Possess knowledge of and assure compliance with standards for infection control, EFPA, OSHA, JCAHO and Health Department Administrative Code.

Know, understand, and adhere to PHS and Department policies and procedures.

Utilize department communication tools to engage staff with hospital events, announcements and updates to training.

Perform routine audits for staff to ensure quality metrics are being maintained.

Coordinate progress disciplinary action with Human Resources as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
