Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a medical/surgical setting. This position requires strong clinical skills, the ability to assess and prioritize patient needs, and the capacity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV therapy, and pain management
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Assist with procedures and surgeries as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Valid RN license in [state]
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Experience in providing care across the lifespan, from infants to older adults
- Knowledge of common medical conditions and treatments, including but not limited to: inhale, toddler care, dementia care, primary care, triage, medical-surgical, sonography
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to quickly recognize changes in patient condition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
