REHAB CLINICAL MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Rehab Clinical Manager is responsible for ensuring that patient rehabilitative care is coordinated and managed appropriately. This position is responsible for ensuring that therapy services are delivered appropriately, documentation of therapy services meets all requirements as well as the supervision of therapy professionals.
REHAB CLINICAL MANAGER ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives case referrals. Reviews available patient information related to case, including disciplines required, to determine home care needs. Assigns appropriate therapists to case.
- Reviews and evaluates each case by reviewing the services provided by the therapists, including case conferences and documentation review, discusses and verifies impressions, instructs and guides therapists to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality home care services, and is available at all times during operating hours to assist therapists as appropriate.
- Assists therapists in establishing immediate and long-term rehabilitation goals, in setting priorities, and in developing plan of care.
- Assists therapists in overseeing assignment and supervision of therapy assistants.
- Plans and implements inservice and continuing education programs to meet education and training needs of organization personnel.
- Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume, which could impact staffing levels, revenues or expenses.
- Conducts clinician performance evaluations annually, or more frequently if indicated.
- Conducts quarterly record reviews and communicates findings and recommendations to Clinical Director and appropriate organization personnel.
- Completes on-site supervisory visits as necessary.
- Maintain accountability for therapy staff productivity, utilization and documentation standards.
- Assists in the screening and interviewing process of new organization personnel and
makes recommendations for employment of individuals. Assists in the orientation of
new therapy personnel.
- Hires, evaluates, and terminates organization personnel.
- Assists Clinical Director in the planning, implementation and evaluation of inservice and continuing education programs.
- Assists in the formulation, revision, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures, as well as strategic goals and objectives.
- Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
- Provides oversight of all patient care services and personnel including making patient and personnel assignments; coordinating patient care; coordinating referrals; assuring patient needs are continually assessed: and assuring the development, implementation, and updates of the individualized plan of care.

REHAB CLINICAL MANAGER POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Current state license as a Physical or Occupational therapist.
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
- Three years management or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation therapy department or program, preferably home health.
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
- Complies and maintains current CPR certification.
- Demonstrates excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional administrative personnel.
- Knowledge and expertise in clinical decision-making and Quality Management review and evaluation.
- Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Organization requirements and is in good working order.
- Has excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and Joint Commission standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year
