Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the black college community. TMCF member schools include the publicly supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and several Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs).
The Program Manager will be a vital part of the TMCF Ventures (TMCFv) team. This role will be responsible for helping to develop, oversee, and grow early talent (freshmen and sophomores) opportunities, including professional development training, workshops, webinar series, and annual DevCon Professional Development Conferences. S/he will work to ensure the operational success of TMCFv early talent programs. S/he will also be responsible for database maintenance, updating all critical files, and designing and creating reports as needed. S/he will perform various tasks and rely on their extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
The successful candidate must have a natural aptitude for student development, project management execution, a deep commitment to the goals of the organization, a good eye for detail, and strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities:
● Deliver on organizational and divisional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
● Collaborate with TMCFv and cross-functional team members on the development of annual DevCon Professional Development Conferences.
● Manage various program applications and eligibility criteria for various development program(s) associated with TMCFv.
● Develop early talent training based on partner needs.
● Establish project timelines based on set objectives; engage with others through cross-functional collaboration, monitor progress, and make the necessary adjustments to plans
● Provide thought leadership in developing the division’s annual recruitment strategy, determining target institutions, and identifying target student groups.
● Work with internal and external partners to develop consistent approaches to program monitoring, evaluation, and learning outcomes.
● Use both qualitative and quantitative data to assess outcomes from program and intervention in order to inform planning, decision-making, and improvement efforts.
● Ensure regular communication with program leadership and stakeholders in order to advance the work of TMCFv.
● Assist with student recruitment engagements, primarily summer orientations.
● Leverage TMCF’s applicant tracking database (iCIMS and HireVue) to source qualified candidates and manage workflow processes.
● Manage electronic tools to collect program participant agreements, including DocuSign, Intacct, JotForm, and Asana.
● Process purchase requisitions and expense reports using an online financial system.
● Develop regular communication with college and university staff, student population, and potential program participants.
● Maintain accurate student files and up-to-date information on schools and program participants.
● Participate in special events and projects across other TMCF programs and divisions as needed.
● Competent in working with corporate representatives, college administrators, and volunteers.
● Willingness to perform and assist with other ad hoc tasks.

Specific Requirements Include:
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
● 2-3 years of experience in program coordination and program management.
● Solid business acumen and ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.
● Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting constant deadlines.
● Credible customer relationships both in the immediate team and across multiple customer groups.
● Exceptional communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, and cross-group collaboration skills.
● Independent thinker and team player with a strong understanding of internal and external clients’ needs/priorities.
● Excellent client management and team management skills while working across various projects.
● Familiarity with event technologies and the ability to assess new technologies to make strategic recommendations.
● Diplomatic, energetic, self-motivated, creative, and flexible
● Working knowledge of the Internet and basic MS Office applications
● Able to fulfill non-traditional working hours and travel as required during busy seasons
