The Membership, Events, and Communications Manager (“Manager”) supports the organization’s President and its Board and reports directly to the President. The Manager is a key contributor to the Association, involved in most aspects of the day-to-day functioning of the organization, as well as the various events held throughout the year. This role includes backend responsibilities to carry out a variety of the administrative tasks and public facing responsibilities relating to organization’s events. Among the varied responsibilities of this role are the following:
· Website administrator/ Email – Update, manage, and maintain the organization’s website, including managing and maintaining the content and databases that feed the website; manage and serve as contact for web hosting and email platforms.
· Membership – Manage membership information, databases, profiles, renewals, drives, dues collections, and communications; and generate membership and dues reports as requested.
· Event planning – Support all aspects of event planning and in-person event hosting; work closely with leadership, including committee chairs and the Board, to create and distribute event announcements, manage event registration and sponsorship lists and transactions, attend events in-person and perform attendee registration; coordinate and manage online platforms and communications for virtual events, in advance and during event; work with vendors and venues to coordinate event; and generate or assist with generation of name badges and collateral for events.
· Social Media – Manage all social media accounts, including LinkedIn, and post event advertisements and other content to such accounts; design graphics and photo collages for posting to social media.
· Newsletter – Assist in preparation, formatting, and publishing of the organization’s quarterly electronic newsletter.
· Communications – Serve as the organization’s contact for vendors and other external entities; communicate with the Board, committee chairs, external parties, and membership as needed to carry out day-today functions of the organization; and draft outgoing communications as requested by the President or Board.
· Accounting and Accounts Receivable Support – Originate communications relating to membership renewals and drives; follow-up regarding dues payments and deadlines; support efforts to obtain event sponsorship and collections of sponsorship fees; and work with outside accountants to generate financial reports as requested by the President and the Board.
· Project Manager – As a self-starter, the Manager acts as the project manager for the organization, including for the President and the Board. The Manager keeps a calendar of activities required for each month of the year, both for themselves and others, issuing reminders and keeping the entire team on track.
· Supporting the Board and the President – Attend Board meetings, which will be either via video conference or in-person; perform other tasks as requested by the President or Board, or otherwise reasonable to promote the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or equivalent work or life experience. The organization supports on-ramp candidates who want to return to the workforce.
· Web administration experience.
· Events planning experience for large-scale events.
· Ability to use both creative and analytical skills to execute tasks, troubleshoot, and achieve results.
· Strong written and verbal communications skills.
· Organized and detail oriented with a sharp eye for proofreading.
· Adaptable, self-starter with strong work ethic and follow-through.
· Strong interpersonal skills and being a people person who enjoys connecting with our members at events and with our volunteers in meetings.
· Able to work from home most days, but able to attend periodic during-the-day and evening events in the Greater Boston area.
