Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans for infant/toddler children.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children to explore and learn.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a well-rounded educational experience.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience working with infant/toddler children in a daycare or classroom setting.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies to support children with special needs or developmental delays.
- Proficiency in math concepts for teaching basic numeracy skills to young children.
- Ability to incorporate physical education activities into daily routines to promote gross motor skills development.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear background check and fingerprinting.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
