Summary: The Psychology Department at Grand Valley State University invites applicants for adjunct teaching for the Fall 2024 and/or Winter 2025 semesters. Candidates must have earned a graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in psychology or related field and have backgrounds that enable them to teach Introductory Psychology, Social Psychology, Research Methods, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Child Development or Life Span Development. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates from underrepresented groups, and from candidates who have interest and/or experience in working with diverse student and community populations. The successful candidate should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
GVSU has a large and diverse group of 40 full-time psychology faculty members who engage in teaching and research in all areas of psychological science. The Adjunct Professor will have access to shared laboratory facilities and equipment and an undergraduate subject pool, should they want to continue their research or collaborate with other faculty or students. They also will have free access to a full, state-of-the-art gym with pool, and opportunities to apply for internal professional development funding.
Required Qualifications and Education:
- Masters Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology or a Related Field
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- Ph.D. in Psychology or a Related Field and undergraduate teaching experience.

Salary: $3,000-$3,300 per course depending on background and experience
