HVAC Technician

_ Terms: 230 days Pay Grade: Aux 8 _
Primary Purpose
Install, repair, and maintain all types of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment to ensure proper indoor air quality in all district facilities. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification/Licensure
High school diploma or GEDTexas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insuranceSpecial Knowledge/Skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skillsBasic knowledge of pneumatic controlsKnowledge of sequence of operation for hot and chill water systems and controlsKnowledge of low-pressure boilers and pumpsAble to do some sheet metal workAble to read extensive wiring diagramsKnowledge of basic techniques of hand tools, small power tools such as hand drills and saws, and proper use of laddersExperience*Requirement determined by supervisor
Major Responsibilities and Duties *
1. Maintain a controlled environment on a routine basis.
2. Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule as assigned by foreman.

Equipment Used
Including but not limited to hand tools, small power tools, air conditioning gauges, volt, ohm, amp meter, ladders, and all other related air conditioning equipment and tools
_ Mental Demands_
Concentration on assembly and repair of major HVAC equipment; ability to maintain emotional control at all times
- Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
Strenuous walking, standing and/or climbing; heavy lifting 20-80 lbs. Inside and outside exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials, slippery and/or uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders
