Job Summary
Leads construction and maintenance of all bridge and facility structures on division. Manages safety, budget, and quality. Provides leadership of all bridge and facility employees on assigned division(s).
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Plan and execute operating and capital budgets.
- Coordinates field inspections.
- Plan and prioritize resources for bridge and facility maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct strategic planning for long term capital projects.
- Train and develop bridge and facility employees to include managing safety programs for assigned area.
Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience in Construction, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Bridge/Structural Maintenance
Equivalent Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree/2-year Degree
- 1 or more years of supervisory experience in Construction, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Bridge/Structural Maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience in Construction, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Bridge/Structural Maintenance in the railroad industry.
- Professional Engineer (PE)
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements
- Knowledge of Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulatory standards
- Knowledge of state, local, and federal laws/regulations pertaining to building standards
- Knowledge of Association of American Railroads (AAR) regulatory standards
- Knowledge of Association of American Railroads (AAR) regulatory standards
- Knowledge of civil engineering construction methods, surveying, design, quantity take off/cost estimating for construction or engineering projects
- Ability to lead and train groups of employees
- Ability to read and create structural design drawings and specifications
- Negotiation skills
