JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RELIEF DRIVER
- Deliver and distribute products on an assigned route within prescribed timelines
- Provide high service levels to all accounts on relief routes being covered, consistently meeting or exceeding our customers' expectations
- Deliver, merchandise, and unload all orders; check product quantities for accuracy
- Load trucks daily and keep an inventory of the product that is carried on the truck
- Neatly restock stores and properly rotate products to avoid any "out dated product"
- Handle daily monetary transactions and turn in all paperwork daily
- Make invoices using the company's hand-held computer, which requires basic computer skills
- Drive new business through cold calls and presentations to customers not stocking our products. Effectively communicate new customer information so they can be routed and set up in the system
- Assist drivers in all markets as needed and execute retailer initiatives, such as resets and working in new items
- May receive and unload products on a weekly basis, rotate products in the warehouse ensuring all products is in the correct location and unstacked by item, and perform weekly warehouse inventory
WAREHOUSE
- Load and unload stacks and move items as assigned; sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Sort and store perishable goods in a refrigerated area
- Maintain organization, rotation of stock, and neatness of all coolers and warehouse
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other items and distribute to production workers
- Accurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and efficient loading onto trucks/trailers
- Check all information for accurate shipment of customer orders; check bills of lading for accuracy before any product is shipped or received; check products for cleanliness and condition before loading
- Use a computer to accurately scan or enter/maintain inventories and records
- Complete daily pick sheets, cycle counts, and production takebacks
- Assist with monthly inventory counts, year-end inventory counts, and cycle counts as required
- Monitor materials, products, and equipment at each step of the process and report irregularities or concerns to supervisor
- May sort, bundle, and fill containers or place them in assembled units
- May mark or put identifying labels on product loads
- May operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load and unload trucks and move inventory from one location to another
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Follow all GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues
