Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while adhering to food safety standards and providing excellent service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Cook food in various utensils or grillers
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check quality of ingredients
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar environment
- Knowledge of best practices for food safety and handling
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and menu specifications
- Excellent time management skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
