As the Manager at Star Leaf's flagship US location in Pasadena, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining culinary excellence and upholding the esteemed reputation of our brand. You will have the unique opportunity to lead the culinary team, curate innovative Southeast Asian-inspired menus, and ensure a seamless kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage restaurant staff.
- Schedule and coordinate shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, addressing employee concerns promptly.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met consistently.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback effectively, resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements as needed.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper stock levels.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the restaurant's budget.
- Analyze financial reports, identifying areas for cost control and revenue enhancement.
- Oversee payroll processing and manage other financial aspects of the restaurant.
- Implement strategies to improve profitability and achieve financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation promptly.
- Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Set long-term goals and objectives for the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in high-end or innovative dining concepts.
- Strong understanding of restaurant management, operations, and financials.
- Mandarin speaking is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software and POS systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
