Summary of Responsibilities
The Integration Developer provides application integration support for our institutional systems. The individual is responsible for the conception, design, development, and maintenance of interfaces and integration services across major campus systems: Jenzabar One, JICS, JRM (Salesforce), PowerFAIDS, Raiser’s Edge, Canvas, Echo360, Pharos 360 and other systems as needed. Primary support is for the following departments: Admissions, Advancement, Financial Services, and the Registrar.
Essential Functions
- System Development & Implementation: Spearhead the complete cycle of development, testing, and deployment for Jenzabar One, JRM, PowerFAIDS, and Informatica, Canvas, Echo360, Pharos 360 ensuring integrated functionalities for the following departments: Admissions, Advancement, Financial Services, and the Registrar.
- System Integration & Optimization: Ensure smooth integration of systems with other core organizational tools, emphasizing data consistency and process automation.
- Data Management and Analysis: Design and oversee database structures, ensuring accurate and efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Analyzing and improving current system integrations and migration strategies.
- Identifying, debugging, and advising on system errors or architecture issues.
- User Experience and Interface Development: Craft user-centric interfaces, ensuring easy navigation and simplified processes.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Proactively investigate, resolve, and provide support and troubleshoot any related software challenges, implement necessary system upgrades, and maintain consistently high performance.
- Continuous Learning & Training: Stay updated with the evolving landscape of developments and technologies. Spearhead training and provide ongoing support to internal teams.
- Fosters collaboration with the following cross-functional teams: IT, Admissions, Advancement, Financial Services, and the Registrar. Responsible for working with other teams and campus units to identify and gather requirements for new and existing software solutions.
- Document technical specifications to support best practices and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison with vendors to address and resolve administrative system issues.
- Assist with maintaining system and application security.
- Work with the IT System Analyst on projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field.
- A minimum of five years of experience with Jenzabar software.
- A minimum of five years of experience in application development, data integration and system support is required.
- Experience working in higher education in two or more of the following functional areas: Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, Advising, Student Life, Business Office, or Advancement.
- Proficiency in integration tools and programming and database languages such as SQL, Java, C++, Python or others.
- Strong SOAP solution interface, XML/XSLT based protocols and API service-oriented design principles.
- Certified Salesforce Data Architect, Platform App Builder or relevant certification preferred.
- Create detailed system interface specifications, field mapping, and system process designs.
- Strong relational database experience using MS SQL Server.
- Foundational knowledge of security concepts, secure code development techniques, and the development and configuration of software solutions.
- Ability to understand and work with large, complex systems, write test cases for new and existing code to ensure compatibility and stability and provide detailed information and summaries to peers and supervisors.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to identify and pull together the appropriate individuals across teams, including functional users, and leadership team for collaboration on issues or accomplishing new integration initiatives.
- Analytical mindset with a solution-focused approach tailored for efficiency and optimization.
- Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
