CLINIAL PHARMACY MANAGER
Progressive Health System has an immediate need for a Clinical Pharmacy Manager. Reporting to the Senior Director of Pharmacy, this individual conducts drug utilization reviews, oversees drug review criteria for medical staff review and approval; Identifies clinical programs and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of department clinical services to include process improvement programs. Develops clinical pharmacists with regard to communication, problem solving, negotiating skills and clinical development. Collaborate with Director of Pharmacy, Operations Manager, Informatics Pharmacist, Medication Safety Officer and others to ensure department needs are met and departmental goals are achieved.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Provides input regarding pharmacist candidates in coordination with the management team. Contribute information toward performance appraisals regarding clinical skills of pharmacist team members.
- Serve as or delegate Residency Program Director role and oversee Pharmacy student programs. Coordinate and provide preceptor development activities.
- Co-Chair activities of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee to include Formulary evaluation, medication controls and order set optimization. Formulary evaluation encompasses both clinical and financial responsibilities.
- Review and act upon data and feedback provided by Group Purchasing Organization.
- Develop rapport and maintain relationships with medical staff leaders throughout the health system.
- Educate and ensure competency compliance for pharmacist clinical development. Work with pharmacists individually and in group settings, provide guidance for standardization of processes between team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
