Seeking an Information System Security Engineer local to the Hampton, VA area.
Secret clearance is required.

The Opportunity:
Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to our government clients and stakeholders. In all of this “cyber noise,” how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you—an information security risk specialist who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.
As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with[our government clients and stakeholders to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll review technical, environmental, and personnel details from [project-specific subject-matter experts, decision makers, and leaders to assess the entire threat landscape] to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones. You’ll work with your client to translate security concepts, so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission critical systems and critical infrastructure. This is your opportunity to act as an information security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in their mission critical systems and critical infrastructure. You Have:
- 5+ years of experience selecting, implementing, or validating security controls in an enterprise environment, compliant with the RMF on DoD systems
- Experience leading, communicating, and coordinating with multiple government groups, contractor partners, and program office representatives in the resolution of issues
- Experience with Cybersecurity requirements and policies, RMF or AF FastTrack processes
- Experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), or information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
- Experience performing ISSO duties as outlined in DoDI 8500.01 and DoDI 8510.01 for assigned systems and applications
- Experience in the development and maintenance of security policies, or evaluating assessment documentation and providing written recommendations for authorization
- Knowledge of SCAP and STIG implementation
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 5+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, or 8+ years of experience with Cybersecurity in lieu of a degree
- DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technical Level 2 Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience operating in a SCIF environment
- Top Secret clearance
- DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Manager Level 3 Certification
