LEAD MAINTENANCE POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent will assist the Facility Manager in various aspects of maintaining the campus. The Maintenance Lead will have expertise in two or more of the following crafts: carpentry/drywall, electrical, plumbing, pool operation/maintenance, HVAC, and/or machinery. This position ensures the ongoing operation of all physical systems on campus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Meet regularly with the Facility Manager to review maintenance requests for the campus.
- Complete maintenance requests as assigned in a timely manner.
- Complete routine inspections and testing of campus equipment and building systems; maintain records as needed.
- Perform planned maintenance on larger mechanical and plumbing systems; maintain records as needed.
- Perform common maintenance tasks/repairs including, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/drywall, HVAC, pool maintenance, machinery, etc.
- Follow current local and national building codes and safety regulations.
- Use maintenance software programs as needed to complete tasks.
- Communicate maintenance concerns to Facility Manager in a timely fashion.
- Operate machinery and larger campus equipment.
- Serve as maintenance supervisor when the Facility Manager is absent.
- Supervise building vendors as needed.
- Train new maintenance employees as directed by the Facility Manager.
- Order parts as needed; maintain a supply inventory.
- Perform pool chemical adjustments and update maintenance logs.
- Follow current local and national building codes and safety regulations
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- · Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- · Able to handle competing priorities and deadlines by demonstrating excellent time
- management skills.

- · Must maintain valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- · Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Education and Experience:
- · High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- At least 5 years maintenance experience.
- 3rd Grade Stationary Engineer’s License or higher.
- Experience operating a forklift, tractor, and/or utility vehicles.
- Current pool operators license or ability to obtain one within a reasonable period of time as determined by the Facility Manager.
