Medical Records Secretary
Location: Mansfield, Connecticut
United Services, Inc. requires all employees to be vaccinated against influenza annually during flu season.
Medical Secretary for our office in Mansfield, CT. The primary responsibility is to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the client’s record, including timeliness of data and all other information entered and/or scanned into the record.
Other duties may include:
- Coordinating the release of confidential medical information to outside agencies, ensuring the completeness and validity of the releases
- Prepare records for submission to outside agencies including subpoenas and court orders
- Record scores from clinical scales and other pertinent information into the client record
- Conduct thorough audits of the medical records
- Provide backup to other Support Services staff as needed
Medical Records Secretary Schedule for the Mansfield location:
- Full-time -- 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
Minimum Requirements:
An Associate’s Degree plus two years relevant experience or High School Diploma plus four years relevant experience required. Must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Bilingual Spanish / English fluency preferred.
Medical Records Secretary Salary Range:
- $16.95 - $19.18 per hour depending on experience.
- Bilingual Spanish/English Fluency $17.81 - $20.15 per hour depending on experience.
