IQGEO Operator/OSP ENGINEER II to work Remotely!

Overview:
The OSP Engineer will function as an OSP IQGEO Lead for the IQGEO Operator team. The OSP engineer will engage in converting data to IQGEO. Fixing corrupted data, clean up addresses, fix mapping that has been skewed from the client’s previous platform to IQGEO. This individual will be part of a team of three, including 2 CAD Drafter II. This individual must have significant OSP Engineering experience to be able to intelligently review a data landscape and make corrections to the GIS mapping, such as correcting cable connects.
An experienced OSP engineer who has a history of detailed outside plant facility engineering tasks that includes estimating, analyzing, designing, planning, budget tracking estimates against actual costs for copper and fiber cables, poles, direct buried and conduit systems. This position requires a history of preparing and interpreting engineering plans, drawings and reports; preparing loop loss design for load and repeater electronics, plan and design field mounted switch serving areas, perform pole, conduit and buried facility design measurements to support company and industry OSP design standards and economic feasibility studies. This position is responsible for specific job budget development and tracking. This position is responsible for periodic job inspections and quality control.
Qualifications:
•Ability to identify existing telephone plant, electric, and other utilities on the site plans as well as in the field
•Ability to indicate existing telephone plant location and relocate facilities and knowledge of obtaining right of ways and easements where required
•Knowledge of obtaining right of ways and easements where required
•Must be capable of engineering routine and specific COE/OSP work orders, including more complex projects such as road moves, etc.
•Must have an expert knowledge of COE/OSP principles, work order procedures, telephone industry standards, PC applications, and COE/OSP record and/or computer-aided drafting systems
• Experience with IQ GEO preferred, but not necessary.
- Must have own tools such as a measuring wheel, height stock, pull finder, laptop, etc.
