Equity Payroll Lead
$73.52 - 88.24 /hr (W2 contract)
Atlanta, GA (Hybrid 2 to 3 day a week onsite)
Summary: The Equity Payroll Lead is responsible for the administration, coordination, and evaluation of equity compensation payroll functions. The specialist ensures accurate and timely processing of equity payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions for employees with equity-based compensation. This role involves close collaboration with our Global Equity team and tax manager to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process daily US & weekly Canada equity transactions for employees with equity compensation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage and reconcile equity transactions related to payroll, including stock options, RSUs, and performance shares.
- Coordinate with Global Equity team and Tax departments to ensure proper taxation and reporting of equity transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing and resolving payroll inquiries and discrepancies related to equity.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of equity payroll transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls as well as external legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the implementation of payroll and equity systems enhancements and upgrades.
- Participate in equity payroll audits and help prepare data for financial reporting and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience with payroll processing, including a thorough understanding of equity compensation and related tax implications.
- Proficient in payroll software and systems, with a strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation.
- Familiarity with global payroll practices and international equity regulations.
