Job Summary:
The HR Coordinator at Hampton Inn Boston-Natick will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department. This individual will report directly to the HR Manager and will work closely with all departmental managers and team members.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position with a rate of $23 per hour. This position also offers biweekly pay and is eligible for the hotel's employee benefits program, including health insurance, retirement savings, and travel discounts.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes, including creating job postings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and completing new hire paperwork
- Maintaining employee records and ensuring all necessary documents are filed accurately and in a timely manner
- Conducting new hire orientations and coordinating trainings for new and current team members
- Assisting with performance management processes, such as conducting employee performance evaluations and maintaining records
- Managing employee time off requests and maintaining accurate records of attendance and paid time off
- Assisting with employee relations, including addressing employee concerns and conducting investigations when necessary
- Coordinating employee recognition programs and events
- Assisting with the maintenance and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Keeping up-to-date with federal, state, and local employment laws and ensuring the hotel's compliance with these laws
- Assisting with other HR projects and tasks as assigned by the HR Manager
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a hotel environment human resources role preferred
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, payroll systems, and recruiting platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
