RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Routinely check the condition of safety equipment in the plant. Carry out corrective actions on the spot for minor items. Ensure action is taken on major items.

Collect and analyze samples, on a predetermined schedule, for laboratory analyses. Demonstrate and maintain proficiency on laboratory analytical equipment and protocols.

Transfer chemicals from tank truck to destination storage tanks or from totes to destination storage tanks.
-
Prepare batches of peracetic acid using approved batch instructions.
-
Transfer product to and from finished product storage tanks.
-
Transfer product from storage tank to truck, containers, or via pipeline to Stiles distribution skid. Prepare and provide proper documentation for shipping.

Perform review, walkdowns, and inspections of equipment in the field to assess condition and verify operations. In addition to the Wolf River site, these reviews, walkdowns, and inspections will be performed at the Stiles and Maxon distribution centers.

In addition to production equipment/unit operations, operate the following support equipment as required: Demineralized Water systems, Chiller systems, Emergency Generator, Tepid Water systems, Safety Shower Systems.

Collect and document Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan samples required by NPDES.

Check process inline strainers as required.

Perform required calibration checks of customer disinfection analyzers and perform probe maintenance.

Prepare equipment for Maintenance in accordance with plant safety policy.
-
Perform assigned preventive and corrective maintenance.

Document activities in a field logbook.

Communicate regularly with the Lead Operator and other shift personnel and advise when valving changes, material additions, etc., are being made. Interact with other shift personnel on equipment startup.

Perform required quality and food safety inspections and adhere to quality and food safety protocols.

Operate a fork truck as required.

Operate a man-lift as required to perform designated maintenance activities.

SAP: Receive and issue raw materials, partial confirmation of production, create batch numbers, transfer posting of batches, and create purchase requisitions and maintenance notifications.

Dispatch bulk deliveries to off-site customers ensuring DOT and dispatch documentation is accurate.
REQUIREMENTS
-
High school diploma or equivalent diploma.
-
Working knowledge of chemical plant equipment preferred.
-
Clean driving record required.
-
Industrial safety experience preferred.
