As a machinist, your job is to read blueprints and use machinery to make cuts in various materials.
Comply with all safety practices and procedures. Verify safety of all machines prior to operating. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, polishing, speeds and machines settings. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as files, scrapers and hammers. Operate, effectively and efficiently, some equipment found in a tool room. Work from detailed sketches and diagrams.
Under the mentorship of a Tool & Die Maker, perform basic set-up and operate machine shop equipment using applicable tools. Apply basic mechanical techniques to assemble or repair various machine parts.
Remain on feet continuously for entire shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have basic mathematical skills.

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
