Job Description: Wind Turbine Quality Assurance Inspector Overview ( NOT LOOKING FOR SOFTWARE QA's)
We are seeking two highly skilled and detail-oriented Wind Turbine Quality Assurance (QA) Inspectors to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in wind projects and have a strong grasp of quality assurance and control processes within the wind energy sector. As a QA Inspector, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the highest standards of quality are consistently upheld throughout our project lifecycles.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and audits of wind turbines to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality assurance and control processes, ensuring exceptional quality levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform quality inspections on equipment, components, and materials used in wind projects.
- Document and report quality non-conformities, deviations, and deficiencies, offering recommendations for corrective actions.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards to ensure compliance.
- Provide training and support to project personnel on quality control procedures and standards.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to wind turbine quality.
Requirements
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in wind projects or relevant quality inspection roles.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control processes in the wind energy industry.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards related to wind turbines.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality non-conformities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Certification in quality management systems or relevant quality control methodologies is a plus.
- Experience with GWO (Global Wind Organization) or Working at Heights.
- Ability to climb into wind turbines and work in extreme, all-weather conditions.
- Tough, construction-type work experience, capable of working with groups of workers.
- Willingness to travel 90% of the time.
