Purpose
The Junior Systems Engineer will provide technical maintenance and recovery support of the organization's enterprise systems, local or wide area network and computers. Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical problems associated with the system's hardware and software. Interfaces with vendors and maintenance providers to service and maintain the system. Implements necessary measures to limit the system's downtime. Provides technical support to optimize system performance. Performs system analysis and capacity planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming help desk tickets and issues related to computer equipment, applications, and IT networks and peripherals.
- Perform systems management and integration functions with users and our network.
- Apply technical and organizational knowledge to a broad range of complex tasks.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems.
- Support the planning, design, and implementation of system engineering projects.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Provides application administration and data management for enterprise applications like; MS Office, vSphere, Kelley 24/7, Sentinel One, Power BI, SalesForce, etc.
- Maintain Bellmont’s systems using industry standards and best practices.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware, software, printers, phones networks and peripherals.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
- Maintaining and managing internal Group Policy, Active Directory and Office 365.
- Develop and maintain Back up equipment and procedures for critical production equipment.
- Maintain a regular Systems audit and deployment of patches and feature enhancements.
Key Relationships
Identify the major Internal and/or External working relationships/contacts with whom this position must interact on a regular basis.
- Relationships at all levels from office staff, factory support staff to executives
Required Education/Experience
- Associate degree in computer related degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time while providing excellent customer service
- Critical thinking and good trouble shooting skills.
- Active listening with a positive and optimistic approach to problem-solving.
- Office environment, able to work on computer or phone for long periods of time.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
