Dental Billing Expert
Duties:
- Managing the dental billing process from start to finish, including accurate coding, submission of claims, and follow-up on outstanding accounts.
- Review and analyze dental patient records and treatment plans to ensure accurate billing
- Utilize Dental billing systems and software to enter and process claims
- Assign appropriate ICD-9 or ICD-10 codes to dental procedures for accurate billing
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies or denials
-Communicating with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing discrepancies and answer inquiries.
- Collaborate with dental office staff to ensure proper documentation and coding practices
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in dental Insurance Verifications and billing
- Must be very proficient in Open Dental and Dentrix Ledger reading
- Familiarity with dental insurance plans, policies, and procedures
- Strong understanding of Dental billing systems and software
- Knowledge of Dental collection processes and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
