Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated General Manager to lead all aspects of our business and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in restaurant management, extensive food and beverage knowledge, and exceptional leadership skills. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient restaurant operations, maintaining revenue and profitability goals, and ensuring compliance with DoH Health & Safety standards. They will also be responsible for supervising shifts, appraising staff performance, and creating detailed reports on revenue and expenses. This position reports directly to the Area Manager and Director of Operations.
Duties:
- Lead and supervise daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
- Respond efficiently and accurately to resolve guest complaints
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Ensures Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met
- Maintain quality goals by regularly reviewing product quality and researching new vendors
- Organize and supervise shifts, appraise staff performance, and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events and recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in kitchen management, assistant manager roles, fine dining establishments, or hotel settings.
- Strong background in food service management with knowledge of inventory management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a diverse team.
- Proficient in handling various aspects of kitchen operations such as food preparation, cooking, and quality control.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Effective communication skills to interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
