Dirtbags, The Iconic Tucson Bar is finally expanding to Phoenix
Dirtbags is a small, fast-casual restaurant/Bar with a focus on fresh, local ingredients and seasonal produce. We are looking for a General Manager/Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of this restaurant/Bar. You’ll be responsible for the coordination and management of all front-of-house activities, from customer service to food preparation. As the GM, you’ll ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly and effectively. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be able to manage both front of house staff and the rest of the restaurant. You’ll need to be able to resolve conflicts and problems while maintaining a positive attitude. As a manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of your staff’s work and conduct. You’ll need to know how to assess employees’ performance and provide feedback when needed. Ultimately, you’ll ensure the highest levels of employee productivity, customer satisfaction and profitability. Preferably looking for someone to take the reins and help us build multiple locations with this brand
Hours
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage front-of-house service for brunch, lunch & dinner shifts
- Ensure efficient service is provided on a daily basis
- Ensure proper food preparation and meal planning is carried out by all employees on all shifts
- Ensure proper menu items are being prepared in accordance with company standards
- Ensure proper food safety standards are met throughout the restaurant
- Maintain a clean and sanitized environment in both kitchen and dining area
- Ensure proper dining area sanitation is maintained throughout the day (including taking care of dishes throughout the day)
- Supervise all front-of-house staff; ensure all staff follows all established policies and procedures; ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed; ensure all staff is following steps of service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management (e.g., inventory control, ordering supplies, etc.)
Education Requirements & Training
- Must have at least 5 years of management experience in a high volume environment (preferred)
- Must have at least 1 year of food preparation experience (preferred)
- Must have at least 1 year of beverage service experience (preferred)
- Must have knowledge of food safety, beverage handling & sanitation protocols (preferred)
