Bogutz & Gordon, P.C. is a boutique estate planning, probate, and fiduciary services law firm in Tucson, AZ. Our shareholders are all Certified Specialists in Estates and Trusts in Arizona as well as members of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. We currently have seven full-time attorneys and a large staff of paralegals and legal assistants. Our firm focuses on providing high quality legal services to our clients and being a solutions driven firm.
Our firm is looking for an associate attorney who wants to build a career in the estate planning and probate field with our firm. We offer a unique working environment that allows for a balance between work and home life, with regular business hours. An associate would start with us by working with our experienced group of practitioners to learn the estate planning and probate practice, as well as working with clients. Any applicant should enjoy working with people, be willing to learn our area of law, and be able to organize daily tasks. An applicant must be planning to be admitted or have been admitted to the bar in Arizona.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft legal documents, including estate plans, pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements
- Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case
- Conduct negotiations on behalf of clients
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association in Arizona
- Proficiency in legal research using Westlaw or similar platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
