As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood & urine samples from patients in various locations, such as their homes or healthcare facilities. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient collection of specimens while providing exceptional patient care.
```Responsibilities:```
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
- Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of specimens
- Follow established protocols and procedures for specimen collection and processing
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient comfort during the phlebotomy process
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate specimen collection and delivery
- Handle specimens with care to maintain sample integrity
```Requirements:```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Current certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., CPT, PBT, etc.)
- Proficiency in anatomy, medical terminology, and laboratory techniques
- Ability to perform venipuncture and capillary puncture using aseptic technique
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures for specimen collection processing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing patient service and care
- Understanding of physiology to ensure proper specimen collection
