The Kingdom East School District is seeking a part-time (0.375 FTE) preschool, early childhood teacher, who will work 15 hours (10 hours direct teaching and 5 hours planning time) to either supplement and support a Kingdom East partner preschool program who is unable to provide a licensed teacher or provide a 10 hour a week preschool program in a KESD school. The candidate must be dynamic, high quality and committed to collaborative teaming. Experience with play-based instruction, Vermont Early Learning Standards, Teaching Strategies Gold, STARS and EMTSS are priorities. We seek a creative, passionate teacher who loves children, can team to provide a strong foundation to our 3 and 4 year old students, and will develop strong relationships with families.
A sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people is a necessity. The individual will be part of a team including other early childhood teachers and staff. The district provides mentorship and a supportive administration. This is a one year, grant funded position.
