Private Gastroenterology Medical Group (8+ providers, 50+ employees, state-of-the-art 10,000 sq. ft. facility with an ambulatory surgery center and physicians’ offices) is seeking an Administrator.

Job Summary: This executive management position is responsible for planning, leading and directing day-to-day practice and ASC operations. Participates in the development and implementation of the practice’s mission, vision and values. Provides medical specialists with the resources required to meet patient needs and financial objectives of the group practice.
Education: Master’s degree in healthcare administration or business administration.
Core Responsibilities, Skills & Expectations:
Manages day-to-day operations of the gastroenterology practice, including scheduling, staffing, and patient flow.
Coordinates with physicians, clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure efficient delivery of care.
Assists in developing strategies to maximize reimbursement, disseminate regulatory information pertaining to changes in reimbursement and/or coding while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Assists in creating and managing operating and capital budgets.
Manages, monitors and processes accounts payable.
Assists in creating monthly financial reporting to Board of directors.
Manages payroll, personnel files, FLMA, employee benefits, on-boarding and off-boarding employees.
Manages retirement plan eligibility, compliance, and contributions in conjunction with M2B Retirement.
Oversees revenue cycle to ensure A/R is optimally liquidated, denials are minimized, refunds are issued, charts are closed timely, and questions are promptly answered to the billing team.
Works to ensure that the site is in regulatory compliance with all Federal, State and local agencies such as OSHA, CLIA, AHCA, DHS and others as appropriate including performing all necessary audits.
Oversees P&L, driving top and bottom-line growth, with an emphasis on managing to an annual budget.
Developments and implements policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and quality of care.
Oversees and supervises staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Maintains the strictest confidentiality.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of principles and practices of healthcare planning and management sufficient to manage, direct and coordinate the operations of a healthcare organization.
Knowledge of healthcare practice financial practices include A/R. A/P, Quickbooks, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of practice management computer systems and applications.
Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, ACA, DHS, CMS regulations.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and team building skills.
Work environment: Physician practice office, well-lit, well ventilated, Occasional evening or weekend work.
Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with a Practice Administrator.
