ChalkLine Construction is seeking an experienced Sr. Superintendent to join our team in either our Austin or Dallas office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in overseeing projects in the hospitality, multi-family, light industrial, office, interior, and retail/brewery sectors.
Responsibilities:
- As an a Sr. Superintendent at ChalkLine, you will oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure that they meet project deadlines and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to keep them informed of project progress and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being done in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including schedules, budgets, change orders, and other documentation.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures on all job sites, ensuring that all workers are following best practices and taking necessary precautions to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of subcontractors and workers.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Experience working with the latest technology tools and systems to manage projects, including Procore, is also essential.
- Willingness to travel throughout Texas as required for project work.
- Wood Frame/Multi-Family Exp. preferred but not required.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred, but not required.
