Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
The Facilities Technician is primarily responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of two manufacturing facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all employees. This role is crucial for maintaining the company's operational efficiency and safety standards. The Facilities Technician also serves as the primary contact for emergencies that may impact the company’s operations, working with all supervisors & coordinating with outside contractors as necessary.
- Building Maintenance and Safety
- Perform routine building maintenance (e.g., painting, patching walls, repairing fixtures, replacing ceiling tiles, cleaning as needed) to ensure a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance for various machines, including CNC machinery and furnaces.
- Monitor and replace light bulbs in all assigned facilities as needed to maintain adequate lighting and safety.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs to prevent leaks and water damage.
- Perform basic electrical work, identifying when an electrician is required, to maintain electrical safety.
- Maintain the facilities to a clean, orderly 5S standard, promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Knowledge of California’s Hazardous Waste regulations.
- Experience in project management, vendor management, facilities, and/or maintenance.
- Basic understanding of facility operations.
- Proficient in using a PC and Microsoft Office applications.
- Adherence to and promotion of safety practices.
