Job Location: District 3 - This position reports to Caw Caw Interpretive Center (5200 Savannah Hwy, Ravenel, SC 29470), but then based on the day could go anywhere in the southern part of the county (Wadamalaw to Edisto).
Job Duties
Our maintenance aides wear a lot of different hats. In general, you’re out and about in the park, performing routine maintenance, completing repair projects and new installations and offering great customer service.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Keeping the boat landings clean, emptying trash cans and litter picking
- Carpentry projects
- Electrical repairs
- Mowing grass, weed-eating, trimming, leaf-blowing or laying pine straw
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 18-years-old or older on first day of employment
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Attend and successfully complete all training programs as deemed necessary
- Ability and willingness to work with cleaning chemicals, paint and stains, and basic power tools and landscaping equipment
- Interest in learning new skills and trades
- Lift/move 20 lbs or more
