Job Description Overview:
Care and Maintenance : Provide dailsy care, such as feeding, grooming, and escercising animals, Clean and maintain animals living area, such as cages, pens and habitats.
Health and Behavior: Monitor the health and behavior of animals daily, report concerns and changes to appropriate supervisor or veterinary staff.
Medications and Treatments: Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians or authorized personnel.
Record Keeping: Maintain records of information such as weight, physical condition, diet, feeding schedule and medications given.
Education: Interact with visitors and educate them about the animals.
Compliance: Ensure that the facility is compliance with all animal welfare regulations.
Inventory: restocking, unloading, storing feed, supplies.
Handling/Presenting: Transferring Animals from one enclosure to another. Transporting the animals to other locations and giving and educational presentation to the public.
