Position Summary
The Instructional Designer is tasked with the development and implementation of educational programs and materials that align with the strategic learning goals established by the Learning and Experience Team Designer. This role demands a blend of creativity and analytical skills to craft instructional content that is both engaging and educational, leveraging best practices in adult learning and instructional design principles. The Instructional Designer plays a pivotal role in enhancing the learning experiences of the association's members through innovative educational technology and interactive learning solutions.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and the Learning Experience Designer to identify learning objectives and develop instructional strategies that meet these objectives effectively.

Design, develop, and iterate on educational programs employing a range of instructional theories and modalities suitable for adult learners.

Utilize cutting-edge educational technologies to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences, ensuring accessibility and engagement for a diverse learner base.

Conduct thorough evaluations of instructional materials and programs, adapting and refining based on learner feedback and performance data.

Efficiently manage project timelines and resources, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality educational content within budgetary constraints.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of instructional design trends, adult learning theory, and technological advancements to continually elevate the association's learning initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or equivalent work experience.

Demonstrable experience in instructional design, preferably within a nonprofit, education, or corporate training environment.

Proficiency with leading instructional design software tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).

Deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and current educational technology trends.

Strong project management capabilities, able to balance multiple projects with varying deadlines.

Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a proven track record of productive collaboration with SMEs and educational teams.
