Essential Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team of food service workers and cooks to ensure the delivery of top-quality food and exceptional customer service.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
- Collaborate with clients to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as profitability, safety, and engagement.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with the leadership team and peers to share best practices, mitigate risks, and champion diversity.
- Collaborate with Sales, Human Resources, and Finance teams on sales proforma, proposal development, and staffing needs.
- Community Engagement:
- Serve as the representative and brand ambassador in the location, attending client and community engagement events as needed.
- Support senior leadership in setting the cultural tone within the account and fostering transparency, safety, and accountability.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with applicable USDA, regional, state, and local policies governing meal and retail programs, as well as safety and quality assurance requirements.
- Conduct audits and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
- Financial Management:
- Own financial results and P&L for districts in the account, working with leadership to ensure accuracy in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Collaborate with partners to support account needs and solve problems effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in hospitality, food service, or a similar environment.
- Strong desire to learn and develop management skills.
- Previous leadership experience with exposure to contract/budget management, customer service, people development, and negotiations.
- Knowledge of business growth strategies, solid business and financial acumen, or willingness to learn.
- Analytical thinking and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional client relationship management, influencing, presentation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proactive, positive, professional, flexible, and resilient attitude.
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership, multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other computer skills.
