Barcelona Wine Bar is excited to join the North Loop neighborhood this summer!

The Barcelona menu is focused on simple dishes where core ingredients shine, rustic presentations, and a lot of flavor packed into each small plate. There are core signature dishes, tested classics similar to what you would find at a tapas bar in Spain.
The Sous Chef will be a leader of the BOH—mentoring and motivating aspiring chefs and cooks as well as maintaining consistency and precision throughout the kitchen.
Sous Chef Duties/Responsibilities:
- Acts as the Executive Chef in their absence
- Holds the standard of high-quality food above all else
- Handles volume with confidence and finesse
Sous Chef Qualifications/ Skills:
- Must understand the basis of food, labor, and cost controls
- Dedicated to providing guests with amazing experiences with the highest degree of integrity
- Desire to run a teaching kitchen—constantly challenging themselves and their team to be better
- Solid tenures in a high-volume kitchen
- Ability to uphold standards and systems
- At least 2 years of experience in a management level position within a restaurant. Ideally, a high volume kitchen.
- NRO experience is a huge BONUS!

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
