The patient advocate will work with the clinical staff to assist in delivering outstanding patient service by helping the patient and their family navigate the patient experience. The patient advocate has the responsibility to act as a liaison between the patient/patients’ family and clinical staff. Start time will vary from 6-6:45 am, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
This position is primarily a front desk/patient check in position with all the other office tasks thrown in.
- Answering phones
- Verifying patient information
- Chart assembly and breakdown
- Collecting patient payments and balancing those payments at end of day
- Scanning patient charts and verifying data is scanned.
- This position is also the back up to the Center opener.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Experience in public relations, customer service, medical office, patient relations, scheduling a plus
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good organization habits.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery process and management of the flow of the surgical patient.

Experience:
- public relations, customer service, medical office: 1 year (Preferred)

- Tampa, FL: Relocate before starting work (Required)
