Strategic Results is looking for an Adjunct Professor to join the team at the Army War College in support of the Army Strategic Education Program (ASEP). This position involves imparting high-level educational services, including teaching, lecturing, and facilitating engaging discussions in seminars. As an Adjunct Professor, you will play a critical role in the professional development of Army senior leaders, contributing to their strategic education through scholarly research and practical insights. Your responsibilities also include curriculum design and the development of learning support systems, as well as conducting strategic-experimental gaming and reviewing lessons learned. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert ready to share their knowledge and experience, aiding in the growth and development of government personnel. This role is crucial in driving the advancement and improvement initiatives within the Army War College.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide high-quality instruction in a variety of settings, from classroom to frontline work environments.
· Develop, assess, and integrate Individual Leader Development training, education, and experiences.
· Prepare and facilitate instruction, lesson plans, briefings, and instructional materials.
· Conduct observations of strategic and operational level events for leader development, documenting lessons learned.
· Attend pre-course planning meetings and offer feedback for course development.
Qualifications:
· A retired 4-star Army General Officer (or SES equivalent) with experience in professional development of Army senior leaders.
· Recent experience as a Graduate research advisor, subject matter expert in leadership development courses, and in various official capacities as defined by Army or Joint Doctrine.
· Select HQ Department of the Army, Combatant Command, and USAWC projects, programs, and strategic-experimental gaming.
· Longitudinal studies on Army organization, C2, leadership in joint operations, etc.
· Subject matter expert and applied research assistance for select USAWC sponsored Integrated Research Projects (IRPs)
· Subject matter expert for leadership development courses, professional development courses, or multi-domain C2 leadership development courses
Recent Experience (within the last 10 years) in one or more of the official capacities as defined by Army or Joint Doctrine and/ or Army Instruction including but are not limited to:
· Chief of Staff or Vice Chief of Staff of the Army (CSA/VCSA)
· Combatant Commander
· Joint Forces Commander (C/JFC)
· Combined Forces Commander (CFCC)
· Commander of Army Forces (COMARFOR)
· Commander of an Expeditionary Task Force
· MACOM Commander (TRADOC/ FORSCOM/ Army Material Command, etc.)
· Commander or Joint Task Force Commander
· Secretary / Deputy secretary/ Undersecretary of an Interagency (DoD, State, et al)
Location:
Carlisle Barracks, PA, with course support at offsite event locations within the United States. Offsite event locations are within the National Capital Region (NCR) and other locations in the United States.
Hours:
Part-Time: 9 weeks annually, totaling 360 hours, during October, November, February, March, May, and June.
