Job Description:
Baptist Health is looking for a Manager, Pharmacy Financial Operations to join our Central Pharmacy Distribution Center Operations. This is a remote position that required residency in KY or IN.
This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial performance and revenue cycle processes across various acute care pharmacy services. Acute care areas of pharmacy include but not limited to inpatient, outpatient, infusion centers, ambulatory service centers (ASC), free standing emergency departments (FSED), BH clinics and 340B drug pricing programs where applicable.
Essential Functions:
- Overseeing the revenue cycle process for acute setting pharmacy services
- Implementing and monitoring effective billing practices and procedures for various pharmacy services
- Preparing and monitoring pharmacy services monthly financial reports in consultation with system and department leadership.
- Forecasting drug expenses for purposes of revenue and expense budget planning
- Delivering comprehensive reporting to senior management that communicates relevant trends, KPIs, and analytical insight into performance
- Developing and implementing effective strategies for timely and successful collections.
- Monitoring and reconciling accounts receivable transactions, resolving discrepancies promptly. Maintaining accurate records and collaborating with the accounting team to ensure smooth closing processes
- Preparing regular reports and providing insights into financial metrics, aging reports, and cash flow projections
- Developing and implementing revenue cycle training programs for managers and staff within the department
- Directing patient accounting activities to maintain accuracy as well as optimize and accelerate reimbursement for the services provided
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Management, Information Technology, Statistics or related field
- 3+ years relevant experience in an accounting or finance role
- Previous experience in data analytics and business strategy, managing referral processes, or working with 340B program referrals within a healthcare organization
- Strong understanding of pharmacy business and/or data analytics. Knowledge and experience with Revenue Cycle and BI/Analytics tools such as payment modeling, auditing and denial management
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations
