Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality physical therapy services to pediatric patients. As a Part-Time Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs to help children improve their mobility, strength, and motor skills. Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to assess their physical abilities, limitations, and therapeutic needs.
Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique goals and challenges, utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques.
Implement therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and motor skills in pediatric patients.
Provide hands-on manual therapy techniques, such as stretching, joint mobilization, and soft tissue manipulation, as appropriate for each patient.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and activities to support carryover of skills into daily routines and activities at home and school.
Monitor patient progress closely, regularly reassessing goals and modifying treatment plans to optimize outcomes and achieve desired goals.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and educators, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for pediatric patients.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Stay abreast of current developments and best practices in pediatric physical therapy through participation in continuing education opportunities and professional development activities.
Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for pediatric patients and their families, building trust and rapport throughout the therapeutic process.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Prior experience in pediatric physical therapy preferred.
Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating pediatric patients with diverse diagnoses and conditions.
Knowledge of developmental milestones and pediatric growth patterns.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
