General Description: Knapheide Truck Equipment Center is looking to hire a full-time Outside Sales Representative to support the half of the South Carolina market. This position is responsible for commercial truck equipment sales to dealers, end users, and municipalities. The successful candidate should reside in or around the Upstate South Carolina area. Inside Sales and manufacturing for this position are in Charlotte and Raleigh, NC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain customers via training, delivering sales proposals, joint sales calls and regular contacting schedule. Identify key decision makers and implement strategy.
- Follow up on website generated leads for customer soliciting information and quotations.
- Utilize Knapheide Business Systems (KBS) to manage quotations, pricing, order entry, scheduling and documentation.
- Identify and convert new dealers, end users and municipalities to convert to Knapheide.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Knapheide’s products, service and pricing strategies. Be able to convert that knowledge into meaningful recommendations for customers.
- Attending industry events to interact with customers, solicit business and participate in seminars.
- Maintained assigned vehicle and complete necessary expense reports in a timely manner.
Preferred Training and Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Technical and commercial aptitude to allow for custom quotations and negotiations.
Education/Certification Requirements
- Minimum four-year college degree or equivalent job-related experience
- Valid Driver’s License
