We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Accounting to oversee our accounting operations, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable, billing and cash collections, lease accounting, and fixed asset management. As the Director of Accounting at ID Logistics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our financial processes. You will co-lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate closely with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and support business decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department specifically related to accounts payable, billing and cash collections, lease accounting, and fixed asset management.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAS, IFRS, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements related to accounts payable, billing and cash collections, lease accounting, and fixed asset management.
- Oversee sales and use tax reporting and compliance.
- Co-lead the team in reconciling and analyzing balance sheet accounts.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors related to annual audits ensuring compliance with audit and tax requirements for areas under your supervision.
- Provide guidance and support on lease accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 16) and ensure proper implementation and reporting in accordance with these standards.
- Oversee the maintenance of fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules and capitalization policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to optimize the use of SAP ERP system for accounting processes and reporting.
- Monitor cash flow related to billing and cash collections, and provide recommendations to improve working capital management.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and collaboration.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a focus on accounts payable, billing and cash collection, lease accounting, and fixed assets.
- Solid understanding of GAAS and IFRS as well as experience with SAP ERP system.
- Experience managing and leading a team of accounting professionals, with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data, interpret results, and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with lease accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 16) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
