Job Description:
The Associate Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:
· Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS. Work with the global finance team to help build and maintain financial reports in consolidation software program.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead completion of SG&A budget and ensuring accuracy of budget in consolidation software.
· Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and support strategic initiatives, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and recommending appropriate actions.
· Accounts Receivable (AR): Oversee the AR function, including invoicing collections, and credit management. Ensure timely and accurate recording of customer payments and resolution of discrepancies.
· Accounts Payable (AP): Supervise the AP process, including vendor invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment disbursement. Monitor vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms when possible.
· Floorplan: execute Floorplan strategy maintaining day-to-day relationships with lenders.
· Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating audit activities and providing necessary documentation and support.
· Collaborating: Act as a liaison between the finance department and other departments within the organization, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
· Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing team.
· Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate accounting processes and systems to identify opportunities for streamlining, automation, and efficiency improvements.
· Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate completion of all sales tax filings and support Global tax team with income tax compliance.
· Ad Hoc Projects: Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management, providing financial expertise and support as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across departments.
· Experience in Manufacturing is a plus.
· Proven ability to manage and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related Field, CPA Certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Experience in managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and cash management processes a plus.
