We are seeking a Chief Engineer who will provide technical oversight for a newly awarded contract program management team within the DOD/IC. The Chief Engineer is responsible for leading and managing the overall technical development process and is the primary point of contact for any technical issues that may arise under this task order.
Responsibilities include:
· Lead the research, review, and characterization of hardware platform requirements necessary to meet performance requirements specified in Systems Requirements Document.
· Manage and oversee the delivery of COTS software as needed to meet performance requirements.
· Implement the coordinated software delivery for all the software configuration items, including all software required to operate the system.
· Manage the provision of test procedures within the Software Operations Procedure Manual (SOPM) for the customer to perform diagnostic testing after installation.
· Lead the development of Software Version Description Document (SVDD) for each software version and deliver developed Executables and Associated Licenses for each software delivery.
· Oversee the development of site acceptance test procedures (SAT) for on-site installation activities to verify system is operational/functional.
· Lead the development of training plans to enable personnel to acquire concepts, skills, and aptitudes to effectively use the iSToRE software and allow for effective local system administration.
· Manage operations and sustainment support required for Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) web services.
· Lead, support, and update the customer on testing-centric program reviews, support the Project Manager on programmatic reviews.
Here's what you need:
· 18 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, development, maintenance, or integration; information technology; or computer programming
· Minimum of 5 years of software development or maintenance.
· Demonstrated ability to lead the engineering tasks supporting the development, integration, and maintenance required to support this project.
· Demonstrated success in delivering software baselines, and in fixing discrepancy reports.
Recommended:
· Knowledge of current technologies used in the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG)
· INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer Professional (CSEP).
· IEEE Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
Security Clearance:
· Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Information Technology, or strongly related field.
