We are seeking a Senior Financial Aid Officer to assist students with completing their financial assistance options, utilizing institutional resources, and applying for scholarships and loans. An ideal candidate will have prior experience helping students plan for the affordability of higher education. This position is part of the financial aid team, which is an integral component of our institution.

Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrated Financial Aid experience is a fast-paced environment, dealing with a diverse student population.
VA School Certifying experience preferred, certifying Veteran Student enrollment.
Advise students and parents on eligibility requirements for federal and state aid.
Ensure compliance with all financial aid policies, procedures and regulations when reviewing financial aid applications.
Administer superior customer service by assisting students through accurate and timely completion of their financial aid documents.
Review all financial aid documents for accuracy; perform a need analysis in order to determine an EFC (expected family contribution).
Perform accurate application verification and resolve any “C” codes.
Certify and transmit Federal Student Loan data and alternative loans on time.
Use the School’s information system and Excel to manage and distribute data.
Track files and paperwork for 100% file completion.
Perform entrance and exit counseling sessions as needed.
Monitor and process VA student files.
Audit files at the beginning of each start and at graduation to ensure completion and accuracy.
Interact with School staff to ensure that company goals are always met.
Contact outside agencies to resolve conflicts, expedite processing, and access information.
Notify guarantee agencies of changes in student’s enrollment.
Work evening hours and weekends as needed.
Travel to meetings and conferences as assigned.
Complete other assignments as assigned by the Vice President and/or Senior Vice President of Financial Aid.

Required Education and Experience:
Must pass a drug and background screen.
High School Diploma required Post-Secondary Degree preferred.
Preferred 3 years' Financial Aid Experience.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Basic understanding of the Internet.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
