**Sous Chef Job Description**
**Overview:**

**Duties:**
- Collaborate with the Executive Chefs to plan and create innovative menu items.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen according to food safety standards.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and procedures.
- Support the Executive Chefs in daily operations and perform any other duties as assigned.
**Skills:**
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen management.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
- Experience in inventory management within the food industry.
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and culinary creativity.
- Previous experience working in a dietary department is a plus.
