We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager with a strong background in pizza preparation and kitchen management to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of pizza making and the ability to manage a dynamic kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and staff development.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety standards, and food regulations.
- Pizza Preparation:
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all pizzas and other menu items, ensuring consistency and high quality.
- Refine existing pizza recipes as needed, including dough making, sauce preparation, and topping selection.
- Innovate and introduce new pizza menu items, aligning with seasonal trends and customer preferences.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Implement and maintain efficient kitchen workflows and processes to optimize productivity.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
- Work closely with General Manager, Asst General Manager and Bar Leads to ensure efficient and seamless service between front and back of house
- Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Address and resolve any customer complaints related to food quality.
- Financial Management:
- Manage kitchen budget, controlling food costs and labor expenses.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and achieve financial targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role, with a focus on pizza preparation.
- In-depth knowledge of pizza-making techniques, including dough fermentation, baking methods, and topping combinations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Understanding of food safety practices and health regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
