SUMMARY
The Captain ("Capitan") ensures that the vessel’s crewmembers provide the highest level of service to their guests and coworkers. Is responsible for vessel’s overall safety, security, emergency preparedness, as well as the protection of its passengers, crew and Company assets. Ensures that the vessels comply with all U. S. Coast Guard regulations. Assists in the training and documentation required by the Company and U. S. Coast Guard regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor to our guests and coworkers.

Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.

Responds to and repairs guest and coworker discrepancies, needs and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Conducts and keeps daily checklists and logs as directed.

Repairs equipment as necessary with minimal downtime and inconvenience.

Keeps shelves stocked with adequate replacement parts as directed in order to minimize downtime.

Maintains an organized and clean work area.

Assists in maintaining a safe work environment.

Fulfills other responsibilities as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.

Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.

Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.

Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
